4/19/2009 busy work lifei joined the busy work life that i never understand that i never wanted to be one
yet bcoz of better offer in not only $ but also better perspect i joined
less than 2 months
i worked 2 saturdays, weekdays till 10pm once, till 9.30pm once, till 8pm twice or three times
and even i can leave at 5pm (8 hrs work) i usually leave at near 7pm (work 10hrs) exclusive 1hr lunch.. no dinner of course
sigh.. started to feel sian
not only bcoz work late
but it seem like it never end
and the mental part is sad
keep triggering btw "should i work late to finish it? or i can't finish" and "i want to go back home"
work can never be finished.. yet go home back earlier might only soak myself in drama
so how?
work or life?
responsibility to company or to myself?
we seem to be educated to be more responsible to work
otherwise why i feel guilty in not working late
if work can't be finished within 8hrs after i put in as much afford as possible, work schedule should be prolonged right?
instead of absorbing my unpaid overtime work
i dunno.. i really don't.. coz everyone seem 'fine' to work more to company
sian..
i miss my ex colleagues and my life..
yet.. i really don't want to go back the previous unsecured work
nothing is perfect

Lunch hours will be reduced to 45 min, from 12.00pm to 12.45pm or 1.00pm to 1.45pm lunch hours ... WHich doesn't affect much.
8/11/2007 should feel thanksful instead being negativetoday co. got event
activities, game and no need to work
at first keep complaint got to knock off 2 hrs late
coz the event finished at 3pm instead normal working hr 1pm.
and then also complaint to have race
coz will get tan since it is race under the sun super hot
but.. after see the event brings us so much fun and joy
and see the organizers team spend good afford
and boss also very frenly involved
i think i really should not always think on bad side
and whenever some frens saying something bad
if i disagree must b brave to stand on my point
can't just blindly follow
one more lesson to learn
2/13/2007 all sort of bossesAll sort of bosses in this small island.
There are bosses who not allowed employee comes to work with love bite, not even there is only a small one on bottom neck.
There are bosses who comment ur gf/bf is not good for u even d bossy bosses don’t know ur partner well but only based on education background.
There are bosses who not allowed employee receives any present or flowers in office not even it is ur birthday/anniversary/valentine day.
I really don’t understand loh.
All I can imagine is may be these bosses are jealous?
Or they had any phobia or bad experience b4???
I don’t understand and can’t really accept.
Unreasonable bosses are common.
At least they are unreasonable about things related to work.
Unreasonable bosses tat bossy out personnal life! i really don't understand.
11/13/2006 my work desk ^-^work desk is important...
whether i like to sit there
or can tahan to sit there for long
if too messy, got to tidy a bit first then only can start work
but... most of the time i didn't sit on my desk but in the lab doing testingsssss
anyway, doing testings is better than sitting on the desk doing paper work or...
reading journals, procedure, standards, information... zzzZZZZZ
however, reading is essential.

(01) Working hrs: 8.30-17.45 vs 9.00-18:00 (Win) 15mins shorter
(02) OT: less vs less (draw) both without OT pay
(03) transportation: cash allowance (S$175) vs Co. bus, reach mrt faster (Lose) $ more important then time
(04) lunch: not subsidized vs FOC lunch wiv fruit (Win) free is the best
(05) superior: demanding, agressive, supportive vs giv freedom, no stress, less supportive (Win) can listen radio, arrange ur own working schedule/plan, less supportive = more indenpendent which is good sign
(06) working environment: sometimes dirty with powder vs clean lab (Win)
(07) physical work: sometimes with a bit physical vs none (Win) coz can ask help from production (08) knowledge (value added): quality issues management vs chemical knowledge (Win) academic related is important
(09) secure feeling from Co.: low vs high (Win) then only u feel tat it's worth to put in more effort
(10) working morale: low vs high (Win) work occupy most of life, happy working = happy living
(11) colleagues: ok vs so far so good (draw)
(12) Co. generousity: having cost saving plan.. stingy vs generous (Win) S$700 training for new employee who just start work 2 days.
Summary:
2 draw, 1 lose, 9 win (total: 12)
salary... Based on long term vision, new Co. provides better perspect thus salary can be excluded in consideration.
Conclusion:
Appreciate the opportunity offered, work smart, learn more and B2H!~
P.S: hopefully these "9 win" will not decrease down the road...
